Winter Concert - Hildegard Redux

Winter Concert - Hildegard Redux

from $20.00

For our second concert of the season, we celebrate the legacy of Hildegard von Bingen in Hildegard Redux. von Bingen was one of the most important and prolific composers of the medieval period, and her poetic and compositional voice lives on to this day, inspiring musicians, playwrights, poets, and millions of music-lovers around the world. In this concert, we will perform the virtuosic music of von Bingen herself, as well as that of contemporary composers who have been influenced by her distinctive voice and innovative sensibilities.

In addition to established composers like Robert Kyr, Faith Zimmer, Katerina Gimon, and Lee Kesselman, this concert will feature the fresh voice of Abisola Toukourou, this year’s Hearing in Color Young Composer-in-Residence. Listen as the past becomes new again in this exciting and innovative program.
