Our Season

In November, La Caccina opens our 15th Anniversary Season with Ladies' Home Journal, a concert that turns traditional ideas of femininity on their heads. Join the singers at Oak Park’s Pleasant Home and Evanston’s Dawes House for a program of music that celebrates feminine strength, resilience, and resourcefulness, from Andrea Ramsey's moving "Letter from a Girl to the World" to Sister Sledge's groovy "We Are Family." The concert also features a sassy world premiere from Chicago-area composer Marybeth Kurnat.

November 7, 2026 - 7:00 pm - Dawes House at The Evanston History Center (Evanston, IL)
November 8, 2026 - 3:00 pm - Pleasant Home (Oak Park, IL)

This Valentine’s Day, join La Caccina for Modern Love, a celebration of love in all its forms. From romantic love to familial love to friendship to self-love – or even if your attitude is “down with love!” – La Caccina has you covered. Featuring Matthew Harris’s hilarious and poignant Women in Love, Megan Fletcher’s sassy arrangement of Chappell Roan’s “My Kink is Karma”, and a world premiere about the power of friendship from Venezuelan composer Mariana Romero Serra, this light-hearted program will have audiences feeling butterflies.

Modern Love will also include a world premiere from our Hearing in Color Young Composer-in-Residence, Jaden Hart. Before the concert join us for an exclusive pre-show talkback with Jaden and LaRob K. Rafael, Artistic Director of Hearing in Color.

February 12, 2027 - 7:30 pm - Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro (Chicago, IL)
February 13, 2027 - 7:00 pm - Dawes House at The Evanston History Center (Evanston, IL)

Back by popular demand, La Caccina concludes our 15th Anniversary Season with Lifeline: Breakthrough, a concert that, according to the Chicago Tribune, “turns the concertgoing experience inside-out”. With songs sourced from our audiences and newly-arranged by our singers, Lifeline is part-concert, part-storytelling event that reminds us all how much we have in common. This time, we’re singing stories of breakthroughs big and small – fueled by songs that motivate, encourage, and empower us.
