Our Season
In October, join us for Weird Sisters and hear stories of witches, magic, and powerful women. Throughout history, women who possessed deep knowledge in subjects like botany, physiology, and medicine were condemned as witches. This concert sets the record straight, celebrating the power of those knowledgable women and harnessing the magic that lives within us all. Emmy Colón-Geistlinger, a witch and trauma-informed tarot and akashic records guide, joins us to provide historical context and guide us through the program. Subscribers get exclusive access to a pre-concert workshop with Emmy, and can add a one-on-one tarot reading before or after the show.
October 25, 2025 - 7:30 pm - Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro (Chicago, IL)
October 26, 2025 - 3:00 pm - Dawes House at Evanston History Center (Evanston, IL)
In February and March, La Caccina celebrates the legacy of Hildegard von Bingen in Hildegard Redux. von Bingen was one of the most important and prolific composers of the medieval period, and her poetic and compositional voice lives on to this day, inspiring musicians, playwrights, and poets, as well as millions of music-lovers around the world. In this concert, we will perform the virtuosic works of von Bingen herself, as well as those of contemporary composers who have been influenced by her distinctive voice and surprisingly-modern sensibilities.
February 28, 2026 - 7:30 pm - St. Clement Church (Chicago, IL)
March 1, 2026 - 3:00 pm - Grace Lutheran Church (River Forest, IL)
In 2017, La Caccina covered Joni Mitchell's Blue in its entirety, paying homage to one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the 20th and 21st centuries. For our final concert of the season, we'll cover another iconic album by a genius singer-songwriter: Carole King's Tapestry. This concert will feature new arrangements of King's iconic songs by members of the ensemble, as well as an opening act by the Fierezza a cappella ensemble of Spirito Singers.
May 15, 2026 - 7:30 pm - location TBA
May 16, 2026 - 7:30 pm - Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro (Chicago, IL)
But that’s not all! Subscribers will also have exclusive access to the Composer’s Forum, an intimate, salon-style performance that provides our subscribers an in-depth look at what it’s like to be a Young Composer with Hearing in Color and La Caccina. Enjoy an interview with our 2025/26 Young Composer-in-Residence, a performance of their work by La Caccina, a Q&A session with all the artists, and a post-performance reception.
