Tikal Rivera

Administrative Director

Tikal Rivera is an arts administrator and multi-disciplinary artist from Chicago, Illinois with experience working in non-profits arts organizations in communications, operations, financial aid distribution, and marketing. In their time working in arts administration, they have established the scholarship and private events program at Lillstreet Art Center, worked in operations with legacy dance company Hedwig Dances, in community engagement at the Old Town School of Folk Music, and in marketing with Apollo’s Fire Baroque Orchestra.

They have also worked as an arts instructor for notable community organizations such as Marwen and Columbia College Chicago’s Community schools program and as a freelance artist on various artistic projects throughout the country.

They are dedicated to making creative organizations and spaces in the city more accessible for artists of all backgrounds and creating spaces for artistic community. Tikal holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from DePaul University.
